Winter driving

Slippery mode

Your F-150 has a snow setting most people never touch.

  1. Turn the drive mode selector (the dial or button by the shifter).
  2. Pick Slippery. It softens throttle response and adjusts traction control for snow and ice.
  3. Switch back to Normal once roads are clear.

Some trims also have Deep Snow/Sand. That's a different mode for deep, loose stuff.
